Stavers™ Cubes (Bold/Heavy Char Toast)

Oak flame roasted 1-1/8″ New American Oak Cubes in a 20 lb bag ready for insert into a tank, or as individual cubes put inside a barrel. These cubes are more conventionally toasted, like the inside of a barrel, to offer a heavy char on the outside and more neutral wood on the inside. These are ideal for adding to barrels (as individual cubes) to exponentially increase the percentage of wood to liquid contact. The 20 lb bags are intended for tank insert applications.

For the most immediate impact on color, choose these char cubes. Compare to a standard char 4. Available in chars 1-6 by special request.

This test was conducted with roasted cubes. Toasted cubes may impart even more color in the same time.

A 5 lb trial size bag of our proprietary oak slow roasted cubes. Comes in a food grade bag for small tank testing or to remove cubes and insert into barrels for testing. 100 cube count, compared to our 20 lb standard cube bag that provides 400-420 cubes. Our slow roast process ensures that the wood is flavored from the oak fire all the way through. Also available with grooves by special order.

Stavers™ Groove Cubes

A variation on our signature cube product for spirits aging. Each cube is pre-cut with a groove on four sides, then oak fire roasted using our proprietary rotating slow cook method. Grooves add 15% additional wood to liquid contact area per cube.

Standard in a 20 lb food grade bag for tank aging, or to remove cubes from bag to insert into barrels before (or after) filling.

Stavers™ Fan Tank Pack

Twelve 32″ oak fire toasted staves connected as a fan for dropping into tanks.

Available in Medium and Bold/Heavy toasts. Other toast recipes by custom minimum order.

Each toasted stave is 1″ x 1″ x 32″ long.

Each fan pack provides 12 sq feet of wood surface area for liquid contact– two fan packs would be the equivalent of the surface area of a new 53 Gallon Oak barrel.

Multiple fan packs may be combined to add even more oak for larger tank applications, or may be taken apart for individual stave inserts.

Our most unique new product for aging spirits.

Oak flame roasted 1-1/8″ New American Oak Cubes in a 20 lb bag ready for insert into a tank, or as individual cubes put inside a barrel.

Our proprietary slow roast process cooks cubes evenly and consistently over burning oak. The slow “roast” of continuously churning cubes results in a very even, smooth flavor and color profile that is consistent through out the wood. Cut a cube in half and you will see the center wood is the same roast as the outside surfaces. Ideal for achieving consistent flavor for longer duration aging, but also effective even as a short-term insert. For more accelerated aging–more color and more flavor in less time, try the bold/heavy char version of the cubes.

Each bag contains approximately 400-420 cubes which equals a total of 22-23 sq feet of surface area.
